Celebrate with Britain’s medal winners at Blenheim
It’s been a summer of tremendous success for Britain’s eventing teams, and all five medal-winning squads will be parading at the SsangYong Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials on Sunday, 17th September.
They will be headed by the senior British team, who took glorious team gold and individual bronze at the recent European Championships in Poland.
Also parading will be Britain’s brilliant under-21 teams. These are the pony squad, who won individual gold and silver, and the team silver medal, at the Pony European Championships in Hungary; the juniors, who came home from the Junior European Championships in Ireland with individual gold and team silver medals, and the young riders, who took individual silver and team bronze at the Young Rider European Championships in Ireland.
They will also be joined by the European CIC2* Championships team, who kept up their excellent record by returning from Belgium with the team silver and individual bronze medals.
The parade, which is sponsored by the Horse Trials Support Group, will take place in SsangYong Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials’ spectacular main arena in front of Blenheim Palace itself before the prize-giving for the CCI3* class on Sunday afternoon.
Event Director Mandy Hervieu said: “SsangYong Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials provides a superb climax to the British eventing season, and it is wonderful to be able to celebrate the tremendous success of our national teams in such an appropriate way. Sunday 17th September will be a fantastic day, with both cross-country and showjumping action and spectacular displays in our famous Attractions Arena, including the popular High Jump competition. We have more than 200 tradestands and excellent shopping opportunities – it really is the best day out you can imagine!”
