Information for Owners (CCI & CIC)

Thank you very much for choosing to join us at the 2018 SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials!  We very much look forward to welcoming you to Blenheim. If this is your first trip, a warm welcome, and if you are returning, we welcome you back and wish you all every success over the weekend. Over the years we have worked hard to ensure that your time at Blenheim is as enjoyable as possible, so we are always looking at ways to enhance your experience and would welcome any feedback that you have.

In order to make your visit to Blenheim as easy as possible, please take a few moments to read the following information.

Accreditation

BE membership cards will be loaded with entry passes. This means that passes will not be emailed to you. Please remember to bring your BE membership card with you in order to access the event site. Your BE membership card will be loaded with an initial site entry vehicle pass for your car and two initial entry admission tickets. The vehicle pass allows access to the event via the Hensington Gate (OX20 1UL). Please ensure your membership card has a QR code on it – if it does not, please contact BE for an updated card.

Owners of overseas registered horses who are not therefore a BE member will be sent initial entry E-tickets. These will be sent to the owner's email address as registered at point of entry.

Cars will not be permitted into the lorry park due to space limitations, but may use the owners’ car park, which is adjacent. As mentioned above, please use the Hensington Gate (OX20 1UL) to access the event site.

Up to ten additional admission tickets can be booked via our online box office. Click here to access the owners' ticket hub. Use the promotion code (provided in acceptance emails) to receive a 20% discount on general admission passes.

Unfortunately, we are unable to process refunds for payments at the gate so please ensure you have your BE membership card with you.

Facilities for owners

We recognise the hugely important part owners play in the sport. As such, we have provided the following facilities for owners to use throughout their time at Blenheim.

Owners, Athletes & Trainers Lounge: This facility is located next to the main Marlborough Arena collecting ring. It will provide a handy base for those wanting to watch competition preparations and has vistas of the palace's south lawn through which the CCI cross-country track runs. This lounge is supported by Theraplate.

Marlborough Pavilion: Owners of horses competing at Blenheim have complimentary access to the ringside Marlborough Pavilion. Access will be restricted to those with appropriate passes. This pavilion has a private garden from which the activities in the Marlborough Arena may be seen.

British Eventing Members’ Pavilion: BE are providing complimentary access to this facility for owners of horses competing at Blenheim. The pavilion offers superb views of the CIC dressage arena and cross-country course.

Competitors’ Lounge: This marquee, supported by Voltaire Design, offers a place to relax adjacent to the training areas and initial warm up arenas. There is a barista coffee bar and catering facilities.

Accomodation

We have introduced a dedicated owners’ campsite which is adjacent to the lorry park. Pitches are available at £50 and hook up can be added for £80. If you wish to reserve a place please click here. Please note, places within this area and hook up must be booked in advance.

We have a range of accomodation options listed on our 'where to stay' webpage. Click here to browse.

Riverside Pavilions

If you and your guests or fellow owners and supporters would like to be in the thick of the cross-country action, then a riverside pavilion may be the perfect option. These pavilions offer companies or individuals a private base for entertaining, family celebrations or corporate events. On course dining may typically include a picnic style offering, a cold buffet lunch or barbeque. Enhance your day further with champagne or Pimms receptions, bespoke menus, guest speakers or allocated grandstand seats for the show jumping phase. Click here to find out more and to book.

Dining

The Marlborough Pavilion dining room has a range of sumptuous options available; breakfasts, three course lunches and afternoon teas can be booked via our website. Click here to book tickets now.
